Happy Mondays Brings an Epic Locals Showcase for North to Shore!

Happy Mondays have been a long running tradition in the Asbury Park music scene, an especially epic local lineup took to the stage for last week’s edition for the Prudential North to Shore Festival. The lineup included Blush, whose funky and groovy jam band style has made them a current favorite for many, and alternative pop act American Girlfriend whose multi-member sound led by vocalist Janai Freer is one of the scene’s most unique and original newer acts. Also included were long established acts The Extensions led by frontman Brian Erickson whose vibrant power rock sound has long been a staple, and The Foes of Fern whose bombastic and epic full band performances are consistently a can’t miss experience for their dedicated fanbase.

Each of these acts complemented each other effectively while also demonstrating why each of them have become distinct talents in their own right. While each of their respective sets were shorter than usual, that didn’t prevent them from still delivering memorable performances and the energy was truly exhilarating to experience! For fans of the local music scene, these four acts represent some of the most original, diverse and exciting music that Asbury has to offer. For those seeking to get their local live music fill check out any of these highly talented artists and be sure to check out Happy Monday’s which run every Monday at the Wonder Bar for free!

Artists pictured in order are Blush, American Girlfriend, The Extensions and The Foes of Fern.
